UK-Russia Workshop 17th — 19th September 2019

Dear colleagues! We are happy to invite you to participate in the UK-Russia Workshop: Designing Biomaterials for Drug and Cell Delivery on 17-19 September 2019 in Manchester.

40 Early Career Researcher from UK and Russia with research background related to biomaterials, antibacterial compounds, drug delivery, cell delivery, and/or regenerative medicine will be funded by the British Council to attend the workshop. We seek a wide range of scholars in disciplines including chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomaterials, regenerative medicine, bioengineering, environmental sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, microbiology, biomedical sciences and policy making. During the workshops early career researchers will have the opportunity to present their research in the form of a poster/short oral and discuss this with established researchers from the UK and partner countries. There will be a focus on building up links for future collaborations and participants selected on the basis of their research potential and ability to build longer term links.

The British Council will cover the costs related to the participation to the workshop, including: travel (both international and local), accommodation and meals. Costs for the visa, and travel insurance will be covered; however participants will be responsible for making all the necessary arrangements. The British Council accepts no responsibility for any problems which may occur when the participants are in-country.

Participants must be Early Career Researchers: Early Career Researchers are defined as holding a PhD (or having equivalent research experience) and having up to 10 years post-PhD research experience. PhD students who are at least in their third year may be eligible should places be available.

Deadline for the applications is on the 31 June.

Please note that participants are expected to attend all sessions of the workshop scheduled for September 17-19 2019 at Manchester, UK.
